We are grateful for our partnership with schools abroad like King’s Hawford Junior School and The Holy Redeemer School in England. The partnerships were formed in 2012 to ensure that WPS will improve on all levels and remain competitive with other schools. The headmasters and delegation of both schools visited our school in May 2016. The two schools will sponsor four learners next year. We shall introduce the writing of assessments (from King’s Hawford) in English and Mathematics. We were very fortunate to have Mr. Tom Brown (cricket coach) and Mr. David Turner (Art Teacher) – both from King’s Hawford – at our school this year. Both teachers were at our school for approximately 6 months. Visiting teachers from our partner schools definitely add value to our school.

A Dutch school, Christelijke Basischool “Het Talent”, has requested that our school engage in a partnership. Last month, the principal of the school, Mr. Harm Kroeze, initiated a ‘South Africa Day’ at the school and celebrated the partnership. Besides the UK Day, we shall also introduce a Dutch Day.
